RETURNS & REFUNDS: THE DIRTY DETAILS

We want you and your plants to be obsessed with Dirt Tea. But we get it—sometimes things don't go as planned. Here is how we handle it:

The 30-Day Window If your tea hasn’t hit the water yet, you have 30 days from the date of purchase to send it back. To be eligible for a return, your Dirt Tea must be unused, unopened, and in the same "clean" condition you received it. We’ll also need your proof of purchase to get things moving.

Refunds & Inspections Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll shoot you an email to let you know if the refund is a "Go" or a "No."

If Approved: Your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically hit your original payment method within 5-10 business days.

Late Refunds: If the money hasn't shown up yet, check with your bank or credit card company first—sometimes they like to sit on the "tea" for a few days before it posts.

Sale Items Only our regular-priced Dirt Tea can be refunded. Unfortunately, if you snagged it during a Sale, those items are final sale.

Exchanges We only replace items if they arrive defective or damaged (e.g., a burst bag before it even reached your watering can). If you need an exchange, send us a note at letsgrow@dirttea.ca and we’ll swap it out.

Gifts If the Dirt Tea was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a Gift Credit for the value of the return once we receive the item. No awkward conversations with the gift-giver required.

Shipping the Goods Back * The Cost: You’re responsible for the shipping costs to get the item back to us in Ottawa. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

The Deduction: If you receive a refund, the cost of the original shipping will be deducted from your total.

Pro Tip: If you’re shipping back an order over $75, please use a trackable shipping service. We can’t refund what we don’t receive, and we haven't mastered the art of finding lost packages in the mail ether yet.
