Meet Seamus

Meet Seamus: Your Chief of Soil Health

The Lowdown on the High Hat

If you’ve seen a green fellow in a flat cap hanging around our bags, that’s Seamus O’Wriggle. He isn’t a corporate mascot in a suit; he’s a soil-dwelling expert who’s been "underground" in the gardening scene for a long time.

Seamus joined the Dirt Tea crew in Ottawa because he was tired of seeing good soil treated like a chemistry experiment. He’s here to remind us that gardening doesn't need to be complicated—it just needs to be dirty.

Why Seamus Wears the Cap (The Science)

While he looks cheeky, Seamus is serious about what goes into your garden. He personally "vets" every ingredient in our small-batch blends to ensure they meet his standards for microbial life:

Worm Castings: The gold standard for soil structure.

Alfalfa & Kelp: Premium, plant-derived nutrients.

Mineral Support: Rock dust and humic acid for long-term soil resilience.

Canadian Roots (Literally)

Seamus is a proud resident of Ottawa, Ontario. He oversees our hand-packing process to make sure every compostable tea bag is ready to thrive in the unique Canadian climate—from short, hot summers to keeping indoor "monsteras" happy through a long winter.

"Soil health shouldn't be a mystery. It’s just about feeding the microbes so they can feed your plants. Simplified." — Seamus O’Wriggle
